I am an artist living in Urbana, a small town near Frederick, Maryland. My work consists of paintings using multiple media, but mostly acrylics and ink on canvas. My work reflects my life. I have traveled extensively and have lived in many cities including Elmira, New York, the city near where I grew up, Utica and Ithaca, New York, Paris and Biarritz, France, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, DC. I am entranced both open fields, forests and skies, but also rugged industry and modern cities. I try to capture this contrast by combining and cubist elements with intense, vibrant colors, sharp lines and textures that evoke the movement and energy or places I have visited or lived.
